Gigionthat.com has learned, Jay-Z was disgusted by the arrest and imprisonment of 21 Savage and called the case “an absolute travesty". He articulated in a statement that 21 Savage, real name Shay’aa Bin Abraham-Joseph, applied for a U Visa application and was placed in pending status for years and he “deserves to be reunited with his children immediately".Roc Nation has hired attorney Alex Spiro to help with 21’s case.
The attorney hired by Jay-Z, Alex Spiro, also released a statement.
“We are not going to stop until he is released, bonded out or in front of a judge," he told TMZ. “What we have here is someone who overstayed their Visa with an application pending for four years—not a convicted criminal that needs to be detained and removed but, by all accounts a wonderful person, father, and entertainer who has a marijuana offense which was vacated and sealed."
Most recently, Georgia representative Henry C. “Hank" Johnson wrote an endorsement letter supporting 21 Savage and shared it with ICE on Twitter.
