If you have been wondering who was going to be hosting this year’s Academy Awards following the quick hiring and firing of Kevin Hart last month, wonder no more. The person who will be hosting this year’s Oscars will be – no one.
There was speculation that this would happen.
Since Heart stepped down, no celebrities have spoken up about taking his position. Actually many have openly said they would never take the hosting role.
Sources say that with the show being hostless, the Academy will just have A list stars introducing each segment.
If these reports from Variety are indeed true, this will be the first time in 30 years that the show has gone hostless.
On Wednesday during an interview with Good Morning America, he said that he officially was not hosting the show.
“I say I’m done with it,” Hart told host Michael Strahan. “It gets no more energy from me. That’s why I said for the last time, I am addressing this. There’s no more conversation about it. I’m literally, I’m over that. I’m over the moment and I’m about today, so if it’s accepted, great. If it’s not, then it’s nothing I can control.”
The 91st Academy Awards will air live Feb. 24 from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
