Al B. Sure takes to social media to pay tribute to Kim Porter after her untimely passing.
Now, Quincy’s father, famed R&B crooner, Al B Sure!, is the first of the immediate family to make a heartbreaking and public tribute to Kim.
During Al’s 2015 Unsung episode, Kim reflected on that loving moment. “I remember they were working on the song and they couldn’t come up with the lyrics. I remember Al looked at me and he was like “so you’re having my baby…” and naturally, her jaw dropped. Upon their initial meeting, the “Nite and Day” singer-songwriter was in complete awe while she remembered him as being “sweet, genuine, compassionate and that’s why [she] fell in love with him.”
At this time, no other statements from the respective families have been made. Please continue to send them love and light during this difficult time.
#TBT Never forget that Al B. Sure's inspiration for writing Jodeci's "Forever My Lady" was none other than Kim Porter who was pregnant with their son Quincy at the time. She's a queen of R&B and didn't sing one note. 👑🏆🏅🎤 Rest well, @LadyKP. @OfficialAlBSure @JodeciMusic @Quincy #ForeverMyLady #KimPorter #RIPKimPorter #AlBSure #Jodeci #Quincy #QuincyBrown #Unsung #90sRnB #RnBHistory #RnBLives #muse #neverforget
