Former New York Knicks great Charles Oakley was arrested at a Las Vegas casino on July 8 for trying to cheat during a game, casino officials told TMZ Sports.
A source close to the situation revealed to TMZ that Oakley pulled away a $100 chip when he realized he was going to lose a bet.
Oakley, who made $46 million during his NBA career, was caught on security cameras and was confronted by security over the incident. He was booked in the Clark County Detention Center and is facing 1 to 6 years, along with a $10,000 fine, in prison if convicted.
Oakley’s legal team told TMZ, “This is an insignificant matter that will be quickly resolved.”
