FBI Joins Search to Find Missing 16-Year-Old Twin ‘Jholie Moussa’ from Virginia

Sixteen-year-old twin Jholie Moussa of Alexandria, VA was last seen by her family on Friday afternoon when she left home for a party. They have not heard from her since. Moussa’s mother Syreeta Hill said local police initially refused to help look for the teenager because she could be a runaway.

When Fairfax County police finally did aide in the search for the Mount Vernon High School 10th grader, they spoke with approximately 20 of her friends. Some of them claimed they have been in contact with Moussa. Detectives said the majority of her friends have not been very cooperative.

But the family has also taken matters into their own hands. They are using social media to get others involved in the search for Moussa and are receiving floods of support. Over 21,000 people have joined the Facebook group Bring Jholie Home. Moussa’s mother and twin sister Zhane have posted a number of videos pleading for anyone with information to come forward.

“This is day 6 and I’ve never been away from my sister this long," Zhane said in a Wednesday video urging young women and men to use social media to spread the word about her missing twin.

Local police said they have no proof Moussa is in immediate danger. But her family told FOX 5 they are confident she has not run away.

Hill said her daughter is 5’2" and 105 lbs and wearing long blond braids. She was last seen in torn blue jeans, a black and white plaid shirt, black Uggs with bows on the back and a black puffy jacket with brown fur on the hood. Moussa also has an infinity tattoo bearing she and her sister’s first names on her arm.

The family is urging anyone who may have Moussa to simply return her home.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police at 703-691-2131, the FBI Washington Field Office at 202-278-2000 or at https://tips.fbi.gov.
