Last week it emerged that Apple has plans to discontinue the current iPhone X model once the company introduces its 2018 iPhone lineup later this fall.
This is a first for Apple, as the company never discontinued a model before a new iPhone model is released.
Customers are opting for the more affordable iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus along with the iPhone 7. The primary reason for the iPhone X’s lackluster sales are the lack of innovation and features.
Another factor for the poor reception of the iPhone X is the cost. The iPhone X is currently the most expensive iPhone to date with a retail price of $999.
