A plan is in place for O.J. Simpson to be released on parole as early as Monday from a facility near Las Vegas, a Nevada prisons official says.
Over the summer, he was granted parole and it was set to begin on Sunday, Oct. 1. Since releases don’t happen on the weekend, he may be required to stay in jail until the following day.
Simpson has spent nine years in jail, after his 2008 armed robbery and kidnapping convictions, following a confrontation in a Las Vegas hotel room, with sports memorabilia dealers.
